BMW Connected Asia app for iPhone and iPad

BMW ConnectedDrive provides innovative services for greater comfort, infotainment and safety in your BMW. BMW "Apps" represents a revolution in in-car infotainment and is available for all BMW models.

Experience the undiminished convenience of the BMW Connected app that allows you to use several functions at the same time in your BMW when it is fitted with the appropriate option. With this latest version, you can enjoy switching between different compatible apps when you have activated the iDrive system (as soon as the corresponding updates for the other “BMW Apps ready” applications support these functions). In addition, the BMW Connected app now informs you when “BMW Apps ready” applications become available.

To use the app in your BMW, connect your iPhone with the USB cable or the SnapIn adapter and launch the app. Now you can experience these functions via the iDrive controller, the display, and your vehicle’s audio system.

Functions:

ECO PRO Analyzer (only in conjunction with the new Professional generation of navigation systems, available in selected models from July 2012):
This driving style analyser evaluates the efficiency of acceleration, braking, and gear shifting for the maximum range. Driving style efficiency is enhanced in addition with helpful ECO tips.

Twitter:
The latest status messages from social networks are displayed in the vehicle and can also be played back via a text-to-speech function. This allows you to stay networked everywhere and all the time.

Calendar:
BMW is the first automobile manufacturer worldwide to provide the option to display iPhone calendar entries in-vehicle and to have them played back when required. This allows you to keep an eye on your appointments (daily, weekly, monthly und detailed view) when you’re on the road.

Last Mile Navigation & Vehicle Finder:
This function uses the connection between the iPhone and the vehicle to transfer the vehicle’s navigation objectives and location data to the iPhone. Where required, you can use the iPhone’s in-built map navigation to find your way to and from your final destination and your parked car.

Please note: the BMW Connected App can only be used in BMW models with the “Apps” special equipment. A retrofit has been on offer for this special equipment since 01/2012. Contact your BMW dealer for details.
